Eating 5 servings of fruit and vegetables is hard enough, so how does it feel to be told that it probably isn’t even enough – that you should be eating more like 7, or more servings a day? And here is the final insult – experts are telling us that in order to keep our bodies in optimum condition, we should be eating most of that food raw!£5 bargain on ebay!

Let’s face it – who actually has the time and motivation to eat so much good stuff. Not me, I can tell you that much!

However, there is a solution, and it is called cheating. Instead of eating your fruits and vegetables how about drinking them instead? Freshly made fruit and vegetable juices contain all the goodness of the original food, and are much easier to consume and digest.

Maybe it’s time for you to look at an easy to use juicer machine that can help you get your body back on track.

The beauty of making juice is that you can “eat” anything you want quite easily. Could you ever bring yourself to munch down raw sweet potatoes, or swedes, or broccoli and cabbage? If you are like me then probably not, but I can assure you that with a decent juicer machine this all becomes quite easy.

If you have an aversion to really strong tastes then I would advise to stay away from things like cabbage, but the great thing is that once the juice is in the glass you can just throw it down. Think of it as medicine if you have to, but either way you get the satisfaction of knowing that you have just “eaten” more fresh raw vegetables than most people would get in a month.

When you are comparing juicer machines to buy, always remember to look at ease of use as well as ease of cleaning. Don’t get stuck with a machine that is a pain to take apart, because this will get very frustrating. Juicing should be fun and easy!

Blackheads are one of the most annoying types of acne that many people experience today. They are caused by excessive production of sebum that can clog the pores on the skin. They are often big bumps that promote dark spots on the face. Many people want to remove blackheads, and if you want to do it yourself, you should know is to how safely remove them.Nose

Washing your face appropriately can help remove blackheads. However, some blackheads are not easily removed by washing alone. Some might require the use of several blackhead removers sold in the market. Blackhead removers are available in different forms such as creams, strips, and extractors like metal loops.

Removing blackheads starts with cleaning your face. You need to wash your face first before using blackhead removers to prevent causing more infection. Use any facial cleanser that are non-comedogenic or any facial soap that does not clog up your pores. Wash your face gently by applying a circular motion using your fingertips. Excessive scrubbing can damage and dry your skin causing more acne outbreaks.

When washing your face, use a warm water to smoothen and open up the pores. It is also best to wash your face while taking a warm shower. Also, you can apply washcloth wet with warm water over your face for a few minutes. This process is called steaming, and this can help you remove blackheads with ease.

The basic idea that you need to remember when removing blackheads is never force blackheads out or pop them up. Forcing the blackheads can damage the skin surrounding them and can cause more blackheads. When you use metal extractors, never push the blackheads hard enough since that is similar to popping them. If you will use creams or strips, just apply them in the area where blackheads are found. Then, wait for a few minutes until the creams are dried and strips are ready to remove.  These are the best way to remove blackheads.

Before you use any of these items, you must read their instructions for use. Blackhead removers are made by different manufacturers, and may  have different instructions on how to use it. Also, you might want to read more about what causes blackheads to prevent them from coming back.

The types of fungi that cause disease of the skin and nails are called Dermatophytes.  They are spread from person to person by direct contact with infected cells especially in humid environments (for example a shower) and where the skin or nails are damaged (for example by a cut, abrasion or burn).   Fungal infections of the skin and nail are fairly common with studies showing that more than half of all nail disorders are caused by fungi.Shoes #2

In this article we describe the three main fungal skin and nail disorders:

1. Athlete’s Foot

This is a condition where fungal organisms infect the skin on the foot and toes.   Athlete’s foot normally starts on the web shaped skin between the toes and can spread to the underside of the foot over time if not treated.  Fungi thrive in moist and damp conditions so the most important avoidance strategy is to keep your feet as dry as possible and try to expose them to sunlight on a regular basis.

2. Toenail and fingernail infections

This condition, known as Onychomycosis, is the most common type of nail problem.   The infection comes in different forms with the most common affecting the top and lateral edges of the nail as well as under the nail before spreading eventually to cover the entire nail.  As the infection takes hold the nail color changes from a healthy pink to a cream or yellow.  Onychomycosis is more common in the toenails than fingernails.  A number of remedies are available and there is more information on toenail fungus treatments over at Fungus Facts.

3. Ringworm

Ringworm is not caused by a worm but by a fungus.  In some cases there is a round spot on the skin but this is not always the case.  As with all fungal infections it is important to get a proper diagnosis so that the condition can be treated effectively.

There are many different treatments available for Athlete’s foot, ringworm and nail fungus.  These use known anti-fungal agents to destroy the fungi either topically by applying a cream or polish or orally via a systemic medication.

There are significant differences between traditional techniques and laser liposuction. The tools of laser liposuction are much smaller than traditional liposuction and therefore require smaller incisions to perform the surgery. There are also significant differences in pricing since the scale of treatments are often very different as the laser technique is better for the removal of smaller amounts of fat. As a result of the difference in tools and scale, there is a greatly reduced risk and severity of side effects resulting from the surgery. The reduction in risks and complication in turn makes the recovery period much shorter and less painful for the patient.Massage Therapist

As far as the equipment utilized, the liposuction laser is guided through a small fiber optic. The heat generated by the laser is used to literally melt the fat and the liquefied fatty substance is then removed by a suction tube called a cannula. The tools are much smaller which makes the entire procedure a more precise way to target fatty tissue while leaving the other neighboring tissue relatively untouched.

The smaller scale of the procedure often means a lot less anesthesia is required. This provides a significant cost saving in that department for the patient which includes the administration of the drug as well. But since the tools are smaller, the fat is removed at a much slower rate albeit more accurately. The newer equipment also has to be priced into each patient’s bill so the cost of laser lipo is quite comparable to traditional liposuction in relative terms.

But probably the greatest benefit of laser liposuction is the reduction in common risks associated with liposuction surgery. Things like excessive blood loss and infection to the incision area are greatly minimized since the laser is more accurate causing less damage to blood vessels around the area and the incision is much smaller. This allows for faster recovery times so the patient can get back to their daily routine and their lives much more quickly.

It used to be that the presence of a tan on a lady signified she was not  so ladylike.  My how the tables have turned!  A tan later become a sign of a healthy, youthful look.  Young girls baked their bodies for hours on end, hoping to get a movie star tan.  Young girls continue to bake in the sun, but they now have information, warning them of the hazards sun damage.

It is unfortunate that so many young women and men as well turn a deaf ear when it comes to the dangers of tanning,  instead opting for the short-lived bronzing and the long terms dangers of the sun's radiation.ease

The proof is out there and it's irrefutable—long term sun exposure is hazardous to your health. However, let's not focus on the obvious and the most dangerous part of a so-called glowing, healthy tan—cancer.  It is real and it is deadly.  If you're unaware of that fact, then you must be living in a cave, which might be a good place since there is very little sun exposure.

Let's focus on the vanity side of the issue.  Exposing skin to the sun wrinkles it long before its time.  If you're not sure of this fact, then take a look at an area of your body that receives very little sun exposure-the butt.  No age spots or wrinkles there!  The irony in all of this is protecting yourself from the sun is the cheapest easiest way to protect skin.  But once the sun damage is done, it could take hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars to repair it.

Fine lines, wrinkles, dry, rough skin, precancerous lesions, and larger pores are all the result of overexposure to the sun.  As we age, our skin ages, but overexposure to the sun hastens skin aging.  A tan may look good temporarily, and to some, may look healthy, but it is far from that.  Tanning is the body's response to the damaging effects of sun exposure.  Tanned skin is the body's way of  protecting it from exposure.

Tanning beds are also damaging.  It's the same principle as sun exposure, but it can sometimes be even more problematic because the radiation is in a more concentrated form and it is much more direct.

Doctors have been somewhat successful in changing the mindset that tanning is healthy.  But what seems to be much more difficult to change is the idea that a tan looks beautiful and sexy.  Maybe it does, but only briefly.  Premature aging is not only unhealthy, but it is unattractive on anyone. You even have to be careful with tanning accelerators.

Take the necessary precautions to protect your skin.  Stay out of the sun, especially during the hours between 10am and 2pm.  If you're outside, use a sunscreen with a high SPF, apply liberally, and often.  Use protective clothing and hats.  Talk to your dermatologist about protecting your skin.  By applying a few simple tips to your skin care routine, you could save yourself  premature aging and from the frightening reality of skin cancer.

Another entire area of concern has to do with the effect of the sun on the eyes. Finding the best protection sunglasses is a very important start.

Women often find themselves shoving their make up in every available drawer or cabinet in their bathroom. Even when traveling, make up storage can be difficult, and foundation and lipstick can end up on the bottom of even the nicest purse. Here are some make up storage solutions to help keep make up clean, fresh, and economical.Brush (132/365)

The best make up storage tip is to find a good quality cosmetic case. The finest cases have plenty of drawers and pockets to sort your make up neatly. Sort make up by type and color by keeping blushes, lipsticks, foundations, and shadows in the separate compartments. This will make it easy to find the right brand and shade for those quick applications when you’re in a hurry. Be sure to keep the case clean and free of powder for sanitary reasons, and take a few moments daily to make sure that it stays organized.

Other make up storage ideas are cute cosmetic bags for on the go make up use. As with the previous make up storage tip, be sure to get a purse with a few pockets to keep things neat. You can easily find a make up bag that matches your purse online. Try to spend a few more dollars on a quality cosmetic bag for make up storage that lasts.

For economical make up storage, try placing your make up in the refrigerator. Open cosmetics last longer when chilled, and bacteria does not grow as well in cool places. Be sure that the case is clean, dry, and can be easily found. Do not put make up in the freezer, as it might cause it to flake and crack.

Make up storage can be a tricky business. Staying organized, keeping your make up clean, and sometimes storing it in the fridge can be great make up storage solutions.
