The lipofilling is a cosmetic treatment to remove fat from one part of the body with a thin cannula, prepare it to avoid breaking the adipocytes and ensure the preservation of the stem cells, and then with a very thin cannula inject it into tissue of the face to restore volume and tone.107.365 - T a r y n

The injection of stem cells regenerates the skin, making it more beautiful and vital especially as the summer is coming, the time of year when the skin is more stressed for prolonged exposure to the sun. Adipose tissue contains many stem cells that can differentiate into adipocytes, or in other cell types where necessary. Since about one year the face transplant techniques have been redefined in order to safely maintain these cells, extremely delicate:  centrifugation and manipulation are avoided in order to reduce traumatisms and maintain the greatest possible number of them. Several studies have shown that stem cells normally present in adipose tissue make lipofilling more effective by improving the engraftment of the adipose tissue and the quality of facial skin, which appears more smooth and bright, in other words younger. Recent studies suggest that stem cells themselves are the only "responsible" for the lipofilling "filling effect", whereas the adipocytes are totally absorbed. The adipose tissue implanted after a certain time is indistinguishable from the tissues normally present in the implant area, providing a physiological result impossible to achieve with other fillers.

To obtain a more complete and lasting effect, the lipofilling can be combined with endoscopic facelift, which repositions the deep tissues, achieving a natural and unscarred result. It is a technique that achieves better results than "traditional" face cosmetic lifting: no more tighten faces and long scars in front of the ears. With endoscopy, five incisions are practiced about an inch from where we introduce some 4 mm tools that, thanks to a camera, allow the surgeon to change the deep structures, repositioning the tissues inside. Then the lipofilling is practiced: adipose tissues are taken from other parts of the body and fit where there was a loss of volume (generally cheeks, area around the mouth and eyes).

An intervention of lipofilling lasts 30 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia in day surgery. If associated with the rejuvenation of the face with endoscopy, it may require general anesthesia. The recovery time for lipofilling is only about 48-72 hours, when associated to endoscopy it is about 7-10 days.
