Most people pay great attention to the skin on their faces, making sure they use a good skin care cream to keep it looking and feeling in good condition. We see our faces as one of the main areas that need that extra bit of attention as it is exposed to the elements constantly, as is also the main area of our skin that people look at. However, our hands are another area of skin that are not only exposed to the elements constantly, but are also washed regularly, usually with hot water and soap that sometimes can be far too harsh for our skin and strips all the natural oils from it. It is because of this that our hands can be the biggest give away of age if we don't take care of them by using a good skin care cream on them regularly.

Hand cream comes in many different strengths, smells and thicknesses, so you can choose the perfect one for your skin. It is important to get the right hand cream or you are either going to end up with skin that doesn't seem to be benefiting from the cream as it isn't rich enough, or at the other extreme, hands that feel greasy and slippery after you have applied your cream as it is too rich for your skin to absorb. It is all about keeping the moisture levels on your hands just right, so someone who works with their hands all day, using chemicals, or constantly having to wash them, say for instance jewelers or butchers, are going to need something that is richer than someone who works at a computer.

If you can get the right balance between the amount of oils and moisture you are stripping off your skin on a daily basis, and the richness of your skin care product, then you have the perfect hand cream. As with any skin care cream, it will take a bit of trial and error to find the right one, but once you get there your skin will thank you for it.
