It is probably one of the most common sights in today’s modern society " that saggy bundle of subcutaneous fat hanging around our neck, and making us appear to have a second chin. It is called a double chin, and it is a testament of how far we’ve deviated from a healthy lifestyle. Its presence usually signifies obesity or being overweight, and may severely affect our health, and the way we see ourselves from that point onwards.

Hence, it is only natural that we know how to get rid of double  chin, so we can start to pursue healthy living. And to get rid of double chin, there are three ways: medication, exercise, or surgery.  Medication involves diet pills, and putting on special creams or ointments that is supposed to melt the fat right underneath it. They are mostly adjunctive treatments, with some being downright dubious, and so they shouldn’t be used in replacement of the other two methods.

Exercise on the other hand, stands a greater chance of success. These exercises serve to improve the muscle mass and tone of our jaw and chin muscles. A person may chew gum regularly, perform neck massages, manually apply resistance to the jaw opening, or exercise neck muscles in the gym using special weights. Combined with diet and good posture, these exercises will almost certainly work, because toned muscles are the main fat burners of the body.

But if you want to know how to get rid of a double chin fast, your only recourse is surgery (aside from makeup, which doesn’t really remove it). This involves the efforts of a cosmetic surgeon, who will manually excise the fat and skin, and suture the remaining layers afterwards to produce a tighter profile. With a good surgeon, this procedure will not be painful, and will leave very little visible marks.
