Liposuction Techniques And Their Real Costs

Liposuction is perhaps one of the most expensive surgical procedures around.  The expenses lie beyond the pricelist displayed by clinics. What you should look at are the liposuction techniques involved and the desire to have a proportionate frame, which means clearing fat off the body’s different regions.  It just so happens that each region corresponds to a price, based on the technique used.  Selecting the method to be applied by the surgeon is certainly an integral part of the operation.

Smart Liposuction

Smart liposuction is the most expensive method.  With its high price comes a list of benefits not found in the other three.  For one, this method is not invasive.  The equipment used don’t require large incisions to break large fat cells.  Rather, very small cuts are done by the surgeon, as any of the three fat-removing means are applied – sound waves, ultrasound or laser.

Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction is the most commonly used method, mainly because tumescent liposuction cost isn't so expensive and the procedure has high success rate.  Generally, it is not as seamless as smart liposuction, but it is safe enough for you not to worry, provided that a highly skilled surgeon is performing the procedure.  It yields only a 1% loss of blood, making it safer than the remaining two techniques.  Tumescent liposuction is also a bit more expensive, though.

Superwet Liposuction

Superwet liposuction utilizes suction tubes and a fat-clearing solution, which contains adrenaline and a local anesthetic.  It is not as effective as tumescent or smart liposuction, but it is a lot safer than wet liposuction, as it holds a mark of 8% blood loss during the operation.

Wet Liposuction

Back in the day, when liposuction is seen as more perilous than beneficial, wet liposuction is the only technique used.  It is still practiced nowadays due to its cheap liposuction cost.  However, like other cheap things, it comes with a lot of risks and chances for side effects.
