Rosacea is a relatively common skin disorder, yet may people may walk around without even realizing that they have it. Rosacea is relatively benign, but as of now there is no known cure, even with modern medicine. However, with the proper medication and care you can easily manage the symptoms of rosacea.

What is Rosacea?

A chronic skin condition involving the inflammation of the cheeks, nose, forehead, or eyelids. The inflammation may manifest itself in different ways on different people. For some it will appear as redness, or spider-like blood vessels. Others will experience swelling or blemishes on the skin which appear similar to acne. The exact cause of Rosacea is not known, however medication has been developed to help reduce the symptoms and help you feel more confident about your skin.

What treatments are available?

If you are experiencing the symptoms of Rosacea but have not been diagnosed, go see your doctor. Traditional skin treatments will not work properly as the problem is more than skin deep. The inflammation which causes the symptoms cannot be soothed by the creams that many people try to use in order to help their skin condition.

Currently, the best way to get around the symptoms of Rosacea is to first identify the cause of your breakouts. The trigger for Rosacea is different for everyone. Some of the more common triggers are exposure to sun, exertion in hot weather, stress, alcohol and spicy foods. Once you find your trigger, you can help to avoid it and prevent the symptoms from displaying in the first place.

This is not always practical. For example, if your trigger is cold weather, you aren't able to control the weather to prevent Rosacea from appearing. You may have to take medication in order to control the symptoms. If you feel as if you are too busy to fill a prescription every few weeks, then you can always purchase your prescription drugs online. They will be just as effective and delivered to your door.

Which one works best?

There are a number of different antibiotics which can be prescribed for Rosacea. There is no one best solution if you have developed this condition. Consult with your doctor to find out which antibiotic will work for you. Sometimes you may have to go through several different drugs before finding the one which works best for you. Using a pharmacy online can help you find the right drug without constantly driving back and forth between the pharmacy and your home.

Rosacea is a skin disease frequently seen in older females with a very white skin. It is a colorization of the skin and is seen on the face, especially on the nose and cheeks. At first it looks like these persons are blushing because it is the same redness you seen when someone is blushing. But in contradiction to blushing, the facial redness can hold on for a couple of hours.

At first Rosacea starts with dilated blood vessels that are causing the redness on your face. When the rosacea becomes more severe the redness on the face will be accompanied by papules and postules. When these grow larger they look a lot like severe Acne and they may also hurt. But in contradiction to Acne there are no bacterias seen in Rosacea.

You can treat mild rosacea with creams containing antibiotics that you have to apply locally on the skin. If the Rosacea is moderate than you might have to take oral antibiotics and also apply the cream locally on the postules and papules on your face. If you have severe rosacea than you probably have to take a drug called Roaccutane. This is a derivation of vitamin A and can only be used when every other treatments did not give any results. The treatment is very effective but because there are some probabilities on serious side effects, doctors are very strict on this. If your doctor will decide with you that the use of Roaccutane is the best treatment option than he will monitor your blood levels to make sure everything is ok. Longer use of Roaccutane might cause severe damage to your liver and kidneys.

If you believe you have Rosacea than it is important for you to contact a doctor as soon as possible. You rather want to treat it when it is still at stage 1 because treating it in the end stage is more difficult and has more complications.
